The time has come to impeach the interim president, Mr. Riyale

The time has come to impeach the interim president, Mr. Riyale.

Before I get down to my discourse; I am suggesting thanks for the somalilan.org website group for their invaluable service to the public in general. I don't always write something in the news websites and it is my first time to write something on news website such as Somaliland.org.

I did n't take the pen to reply someone as I am not in the business of recrimination but to speak out against the irresponsibility and failure of this care-taker government headed by Riyale. As every Somalilander knows; the official term of this government ended nearly one year before; it was the house of elders (known as Gurti) who extended the presidential term up to one year after it failed to hold the elections on time.

Later the three official political parties agreed unanimously to extend the presidential tenure up to nine months ending on 29 march 09.
Yet; there is no election and funds which this irresponsibility addicted government allocated for the public and nation.
On 14 Feb. 09 a few members of the house of elders who were the puppets of Mr. Riyale put forward a motion to dispose of the veteran chairman of the house of elders Mr. Saleban Mohamud Aden ( Saleban Nour) in which they failed.

It is evident that the president was behind that motion in order to try again to extend his presidential tenure before 29 march 09 more over there are clandestine agreements against the independence and sovereignty of Somaliland which the president ratified in Djibouti with the so-called new Somali government established in Djibouti.
It is clear from the speech of the vice president in which he recently told that Somalia and Somaliland can never fall apart!
So if our highest officials in office are behaving like this, who is to be blamed to tide over this national scourge from the people?.

We have a system of government comprising the legislature, executive and the judiciary.
Every institution has its own powers and rights defined by the constitution.

Last but not least, the legislature (The Two Houses of Parliament) especially what we call the upper house of parliament (The Gurti) and the house of representatives together must exercise their powers constitutionally and impeach the president and his vice president for their lack of accountability and treason that they committed if they don't step down themselves, although I don't think they will resign.
After that, the two houses should perform what can be done if the president and his vice president are impeached according to our constitution.
This will be a lesson for every politician who tries to prolong during his tenure in office unlawfully like Riyale.
